Category: Other Events
CDPHE is wrapping up the first round of their stakeholder process of gathering initial thoughts on our legislative proposal to update the Pollution Prevention Act of 1992 to Improve CDPHE Sustainability Services. The primary theme heard across all stakeholders was predictability. Stakeholders had general agreement on a great number of topics. And as expected, CDPHE had some instances where stakeholders came to us with different ideas. Over the coming days, CDPHE will engage the stakeholders who offered different perspectives to see if there is any opportunity to bridge and build consensus. After that, we would like to offer an opportunity for the larger stakeholder group to hear about where we are and start delving into the details. Areas of consensus
Areas where stakeholders had different feedback
Convening of the larger stakeholder group CDPHE invites you all to attend a stakeholder meeting to begin the second round of our stakeholder engagement process. During this phase of the process, CDPHE hopes to move from the broader concepts to getting into the details. As with round one, this is a kick-off meeting and CDPHE will provide time after the meeting for stakeholders to study, gather, collect your thoughts, and organize your feedback to help them improve the proposal. Their goal is for the majority of stakeholders to have most of their needs met. The proposal also includes mechanisms to build off of the great work that has already occurred rather than begin again. CDPHE needs you to check our work to make sure we haven’t missed anything. CDPHE encourages in-person participation for this meeting. However, CDPHE will offer a virtual option. If you cannot make this time, CDPHE is happy to consider a second session or meet with you individually. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected].
