Thanks to the submissions from many dedicated project teams and organizations, the Front Range Waste Diversion (FRWD) program has received and reviewed a remarkable array of projects submitted in response to RFA #SF011224 and RFA #MC030824. These projects exemplify the very essence of FRWD’s mission to reduce the amount of waste going into Front Range landfills and to support the region in achieving 39% waste diversion by 2026 and 51% by 2036.
Today, CDPHE is thrilled to announce the projects that were selected to receive FRWD funding under these two funding opportunities. Congratulations to all the successful applicants!

Now that grant awards have been made, each of the project teams indicated above will progress into the contracting phase with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). During this phase, contract or purchase order scopes of work will be finalized, and the final documents will be routed to awardees for signature. The goal is to have fully executed agreements signed within 90 days of the award notification, or by July 1 at the latest. Upon final execution, project teams are encouraged to promptly begin project implementation.
For applicants who were not successful in securing funding during these grant cycles, the FRWD Board of Directors would like to express their appreciation for each applicant’s commitment to waste diversion and encourage all applicants to remain engaged with future FRWD funding opportunities.
