Coming Soon: FRWD Grant Request for Applications (RFA)

The Front Range Waste Diversion (FRWD) board of directors is excited to announce an upcoming opportunity to apply for grant funds through a Request for Applications (RFA) process. We’re looking for shovel-ready projects that promote waste diversion in the Front Range of Colorado. Together we can achieve 39% waste diversion in the Front Range by 2026, and 51% by 2036!

  • October 16, 2023 - Virtual FRWD Grant Q&A Session
  • October 25, 2023 - RFA will be published 
  • January 12, 2024 - Applications are due by 3:00 p.m.

Grant Focus

This RFA focuses on advancing waste diversion through the following means: 

  • Construction and demolition (C&D) waste diversion and reduction, including infrastructure development for feasible and cost-effective methods such as manual separation at the source of generation (demolition projects, construction sites) or at another point the process, or mechanical separation processes. 
  • Organic waste projects to include infrastructure to increase collection and processing of organic waste.
  • Recycling infrastructure and collections projects.
