Diversion Designers seeking a Bilingual Sustainability Professional For Denver Reusable Pilot Program

Position: Spanish Speaking Restaurant Advisor
Project Name: City of Denver Transition to Reusable Service Ware
Project Dates: 10/10-4/30
Hourly Rate: $40/hour
Hour Allotment: 120-230 hours in total

Goal: Work with Denver restaurants to transition from disposable to durable service ware over the course of the next year. This pilot aims to reduce waste, costs and improve operations for brick and mortar restaurants in Denver. 


Tasks: 

  1. Conduct door-to-door restaurant recruitment

  2. Work with your assigned restaurants to collect data about current service ware habits and consult throughout the transition to reusables

  3. Work closely with specific restaurants for in person case studies before the transition (November) and after transition (April). These will include staff interviews, behavioral observations, and utility measurements. 


Expectations:

  1. Be self-motivated and rely on your team to find solutions as challenges arise.

  2. Speak Spanish.

  3. Be available for virtual and in-person work

  4. Procure the correct coverage of general liability insurance
