RREO FY24 Mini-grant Round 1 Schedule of Activities

The purpose of this RFA is to fund projects that lead to opportunities to divert waste from landfills. The intent of this solicitation is to offer “mini-grants” through a simplified application process for small-scale projects that meet the goals of the RREO program. Grant funds are available for equipment and supplies purchases. 

Approximately $360,000 is available to fund multiple projects. The maximum amount of funds an applicant can request is $30,000 and the minimum amount that can be requested is $10,000. It is anticipated that awardees will have approval to make purchases July 3, 2023. Grantees must spend their full grant award and receive grant funded items by November 30, 2023. Funding is made possible through the RREO grant program. 

Applicants are required to attend one of four live question and answer (Q&A) sessions with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Recycling Grants Team. All Q&A sessions will be held virtually. To apply, you must register and attend one of the four sessions below. Attendance will be taken at each session, and only the interested parties that have attended a session will be provided access to the application portal.

It is expected that the request for applications (RFA) document will be posted on the RREO website on March 1, 2023. The mini-grant application opens on April 3, 2023 and will close on April 28, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
