Consumer Expectations for Glass Recycling Remains High

The Glass Recycling Coalition has released its latest survey on glass recycling. The survey measures how different members of the glass recycling chain view the current state of glass recycling. The survey found resident expectations on the ability to recycle glass grew slightly from 90% in 2020 to 93% in 2023. The survey also highlighted top challenges faced by public-sector respondents to include cost-effectiveness and lack of acceptance/recycling options. Additionally, nearly 87% of public-sector and 83% of glass industry respondents express interest in grants to help strengthen glass recycling.
