USDA Conservation Innovation Grants

Deadline: July 19, 2021

The USDA National Resources Conservation Service announced the availability of up to $15 million for the Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) classic program.

Authorized under the 2018 Farm Bill, the CIG program supports science-based solutions that benefit both farmers and the environment. CIG partners use creative problem solving and innovation to address our nation’s water quality, air quality, soil health and wildlife habitat challenges, all while improving agricultural operations. This year, funded CIGs will focus on climate-smart strategies for water resources, soil health (focused on carbon sequestration and climate resilience), nutrient management, and more. CIG applications are due July 19, 2021. Read the news release about this grant to learn more.
