Erie’s Sustainability Division is looking for a friendly, energetic, and positive employee who is passionate about diverting as much waste from the landfills as possible. Under general supervision of the Sustainability Manager, the Waste Diversion Technician will provide the best in customer service to Erie residents who utilize the Town of Erie Recycling Center. This position will be a local expert in what can and cannot be recycled and provide guidance and additional resources to residents. This position will provide technical expertise during dedicated zero-waste events throughout Town and demonstrate a commitment to our environment, to reuse/recycling, and an interest in conserving natural resources. Employee must be able to work on weekends and evenings at special events as needed. All staff are expected to adhere to the Town’s mission, vision, and values of P.R.I.D.E.
